Acting & Education

The Alliance Theatre's Education program is truly comprehensive. We reach all ages, from 12 months old (yes, 12 months) and up through our Acting School, Kathy & Ken Bernhardt Theatre for the Very Young productions, and our Alliance Arts for Learning Institute. Our curriculum features programs for learning to act (on stage or on camera), sharpening your business communication skills, better educating children, and just learning about theater. Each season, we also offer most of our professional theater productions during select school days for field trips.

Opportunities for Teaching Artists
The Alliance Theatre is currently accepting resumes for teachers and teaching artists to work with educational programs. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and applicants will be contacted as opportunities become available.

Teen Audience Fusion
The Alliance Theatre, together with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, has adapted a nationally-awarded model developed by Dallas Theater Center to engage teens with authentic performing arts experiences during the current season. In partnership with the Atlanta Public School System, the Theatre and Symphony partner with Title 1 APS high schools and middle schools for Alliance productions and Symphony concerts.

Audit a class
Our free acting workshops are offered between each class session to give prospective students the opportunity to participate in a class and learn about all our offerings in a fun and supportive environment.
