B.J. (Bato) Tindal (Playwright) is a playwright, poet, and Scorpio from Philadelphia. They graduated Oberlin College with a B.A. in Theater and Africana studies, and earned their M.F.A. from Northwestern's Writing for the Screen + Stage program. BJ has interned at a number of organizations dedicated to the success of early playwrights, including the Goodman Theater, New Dramatists, and Philadelphia Young Playwrights. BJ was also a member of Greenhouse Theater’s Trellis Residency Initiative 2017 - 2018. Their play What We Look Like will have an inaugural production at Oberlin College’s new Irene and Alan Wurtzel Theater in February 2019. BJ is honored to have Goodnight, Tyler premiere at the Alliance Theatre.
