"WOW! Our session facilitator took us on a journey that revived my soul to play. Thanks for the experience." - Cobb County Theater Teacher
Professional learning events offer educators training in a new skill or technique, deep understanding of best practices, practical tools and resources, exclusive access to industry leaders, and the opportunity to thrive as artists.
Districts and schools depend on the Alliance Theatre as a go-to resource for high quality professional learning events related to arts integration, STEAM, performing arts (theater, dance/movement, music, dramatic writing), allyship and anti-bias, and other related topics.
Professional learning events are designed to serve up to 30 educators and are flexible in length, from 1-2 hours to a half-day (3-4 hours) or full day (5-6 hours) event.
Woodruff Arts Center Educator Conference
Presented by the Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and High Museum of Art, the 11th Annual Woodruff Arts Center Educator Conference: Experience, Create, Educate will occur on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Designed to serve educators of all grade levels (Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12) and all content areas, this one-day, in-person event will explore best practices and innovations in arts education while providing educators exclusive access to world-class art, as well as meaningful opportunities to connect with fellow educators and related professionals.

Conference topics, including Allyship, Arts Integration, Performing Arts Instruction (Dance/Movement, Dramatic Writing, Music, Theater), STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), and Visual Art, expose participants to consider innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

"Thank you! That was SO MUCH FUN, and I really took away a better sense of how to incorporate drama into activities. The creative ways you shared to engage kids really bring that “A” into play without adding additional time to instruction. It is a way to approach instruction differently and more effectively. Great session!" - Fayette County Schools Teacher
