About the Class

Musical Theater: Acting through Song is an introductory class focused on turning a song into a dramatic performance. You’ll begin by developing healthy singing habits to ensure vocal health and longevity. Working closely with an accompanist and the instructor, you’ll learn and perform a full musical theatre piece, focusing on how to analyze text, rhythm, and phrasing to bring the song to life as a cohesive scene. The experience culminates with you performing and recording your final song in the Alliance Theatre’s Black Box space to use in future reels.

This class been repeated multiple times.
