Classes FAQS

In-Person Classes

Where will classes be held?

All classes will be held indoors in studios, classrooms, or performance spaces. We have chosen our classroom spaces to provide 113 sq ft for each student in order to maintain social distancing.

Will masks be required? If so, what type of masks or face coverings are acceptable?

Yes, students and staff will be required to wear masks when practicable. Exceptions will be made for eating/drinking. We require masks that follow CDC guidelines such as fitted masks or double layered gaiters. The CDC outlines which masks are effective here

What is the maximum number of students in a class?

Youth and teen classes are capped at 8 students. Adult classes are capped at 10 students. Free workshops are capped at 15 students.

All teaching artists have been highly encouraged to get vaccinated, but it is not required.

What is your cleaning/sanitizing protocol?

High-touch areas such as doorknobs and light switches will be sanitized after each use. Our classrooms and bathrooms are deep cleaned and sanitized daily.

Yes. The HVAC system in the Woodruff Arts Center has been upgraded. Our new ionization system provides a 99.4% reduction on COVID-19 within 30 minutes.

Will you do health screenings?

All students will complete a health screening upon arrival. Students who do not pass the health screening will not be allowed to participate in class that day.

If a student or staff member experiences COVID-19 symptoms while in class, the person will be immediately quarantined and required to leave campus. If a student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19, all students who have had contact with the student or staff member will be notified by Alliance Theatre staff.
