DATA Live Experience Instructions

For best results, interact using Google Chrome. Download Google Chrome.

For best results, participate in the live experience using a computer.

Go to the Live-Experience platform by clicking the access link in your email
At the top right corner of the screen, click the green button “log-in” and use one of the following options: Facebook, Discord, Google, or LinkedIn.
If you would like to customize your avatar at this time, click the upper right bubble with your initials and click “user settings” from the drop-down. In the User Settings window, select “avatar,” where you can change your gender, complexion, and costume. Select “save” when you are finished and click the x to return to the main event screen.
On the main event screen, select the green button “enter event.” You will be asked a few questions about your experience. Once finished, click “enter event” again to join the live experience.
You will be asked to confirm your device settings. If your computer has a camera and a microphone, select those options now and select “save and continue.”

Moving around - This virtual world represents the offices of Athena Tech, the company at the heart of DATA. When you enter, there are some things you will be asked to do as a “new hire.” If you have any trouble while in this space, avatars with an Alliance logo above their heads are here to help.
- You will land at the Welcome Desk upon entering the event. Here you will learn how to operate in the space by clicking the “i” for information.
- To the left of the welcome desk is an HR desk. You may visit the HR desk to fill out your new hire paperwork. Click the green bubble on the table to fill out the form. To return to the virtual room, return to the open tab “Alliance Theatre Presents:” at the top of your browser to return to the virtual room. You may also watch a welcome video at this station from Athena exec Alex Chen.
- On the opposite side of the room is a “Meet your Co-Workers booth” where you can see the results of everyone’s new hire forms. Again, click the green bubble to access the form results. To return to the virtual room, return to the open tab “Alliance Theatre Presents:” at the top of your browser to return to the virtual room:

You can customize your hair and accessories at the booth in the back of the main room. There are small floating images of scissors and a hat.

The Lounge -
- Grab a drink at the bar or a coffee at the cafe.
- Visit the Chill Out Couches and hang out with fellow employees.
- For deeper discussion, join us at one of the four DATA chat tables. To access the prompt for discussion, click the information button (the "i" button at the top right of screen under "teleport".) You will find a link there labeled "Data chat prompts."
- Visit the dance floor! (To dance, just stand in the disco area and get ready to bust some sweet moves. Make sure to press play on the screen and hear from a fellow Athena Tech Employee.

You will be prompted 5 minutes to showtime to enter the Main Theatre and find your seat.

Please make your way to the room marked “Main Theater” for the presentation of DATA.
Pick a seat.
Please mute your microphone and turn off your camera
Select the red LIVE button at the right side of the screen.
Press play on the screen and maximize the screen to fill the entire view.
Enjoy the show.
Following the film, minimize the full screen video, and select "get up."

If you’re attending a TALK BACK, following the film, minimize the full screen video, and select “get up.” Exit the theatre and then proceed to the talkback patio.
Make sure to only be on the wooden deck so you are in shared audio space for the talkback. You can't be in an area that has a green border around it or you will not be able to hear the conversation. After the talkback concludes, please enjoy some "phishing" in the pond!

Where is there audio, and where is there not - audio spaces are defined by the rings of light around areas and objects. Everyone inside a ring will be able to see and hear each other.
In the off chance that there is any kind of glitch (other avatars disappear or you can't move your avatar), please refresh your page and reenter the room.
Chrome (or Firefox) is best the preferred browser. Download Google Chrome.
Make sure nothing else is running on your computer that uses audio or video.
If you have any problems, go over to the gears sign on the left hand sign of the screen, and click “audio & video settings.” Additional audio & video issues.
If you get stuck in a room, select the Teleport button at the top of the screen and teleport to another room.
