Matt A. Acheson (Toy Theatre Puppeteer, Puppet Fabricator) is a puppet and theater artist based in Brooklyn. He is a founder of AchesonWalsh Studios, a kinetic creation studio providing design, fabrication, direction and performance services, whose clients include Amazon Studios, Broadway, Lincoln Center Theater, Long Wharf Theatre, Radio City Music Hall and the Yale School of Drama. Matt has had the pleasure of working with many exceptional artists including Basil Twist, Dan Hurlin, Mabou Mines, Lee Breuer, Paula Vogel, Chris Green, Metropolitan Opera, The Swedish Marionette Cottage, MTV, Lake Simons and Nami Yamamoto. Matt designed, built, and directed the marionettes for Rinna Groff’s Compulsion, directed by Oscar Eustis. Matt was the Puppetry Director for Warhorse, during its run at Lincoln Center Theater and for the North American tour. Matt directs and curates the annual St. Ann’s Warehouse Puppet Lab with Krissy Smith.

Jeremy Aggers (Governor's Aide/Ensemble, U/S Baron Ragotski) is a voiceover artist, songwriter, and actor with three albums under the Brash Music label, and over 250 audiobooks under Jeremy Arthur and other pseudonyms. Alliance: Shakespeare in Love, Edward Foote, Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, The Whipping Man, and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Recent: Buddy in Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story at Georgia Ensemble Theatre. Christopher grew up in a small town in Minnesota with a population of 642. He started performing shows in his parents living room where he was a triumph at 7 years old in The Christopher Comedy Cavalcade Of 1976, seen by both his parents and unsuspecting neighbors driving by. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, currently in its 72nd season, consistently affirms its position as one of America’s leading Orchestras by performing great music, presenting great artists, educating, and engaging.

The Orchestra is known for the excellence of its live performances, presentations, renowned choruses, and its impressive list of GRAMMY® Award-winning recordings.  The leading cultural organization in the Southeast, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra serves as the cornerstone for artistic development and music education in the region.  Since September 2001, the Orchestra and audiences together explore a creative programming mix, recordings, and visual enhancements, such as the Theater of a Concert, the Orchestra’s continuing exploration of different formats, settings, and enhancements for the musical performance experience.  Another example is the Atlanta School of Composers, which reflects Mr. Spano, and the Orchestra’s commitment to nurturing and championing music through multi-year partnerships defining a new generation of American composers. Since the beginning of his tenure (to date), Mr. Spano and the Orchestra have performed over 100 concerts containing contemporary works (composed since 1950), including 15 ASO-commissioned world premieres.

During its 32-year history with Telarc, the Orchestra and Chorus has recorded more than 100 albums and its recordings have won 27 GRAMMY® Awards in categories including Best Classical Album, Best Orchestral Performance, Best Choral Performance, and Best Opera Performance.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performs more than 200 concerts each year for a combined audience of more than a half million in a full schedule of performances which also features educational and community concerts.  A recognized leader and supporter of contemporary American music, the Orchestra recently received the 2007 award for Strongest Commitment to New American Music from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers.  In addition, Music Director Robert Spano was named Musical America 2008 Conductor of the Year.  With the opening of the 12,000-seat Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park (vzwamp.com) in May 2008, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra became the first U.S. orchestra to annually perform and present in its concert hall, and in two amphitheaters.  In Summer 2008, the Orchestra celebrated 35 years at legendary Chastain Park Amphitheater, the award-winning 6,500 seat venue in Atlanta, during the Orchestra’s annual Delta Classic Chastain concert series (deltaclassicchastain.com).

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus (ASOC) was founded in 1970 by former ASO Music Director Robert Shaw. Comprising 200 auditioned voices, the Chorus is an all-volunteer organization that performs on a regular basis with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and is featured on many of the Orchestra’s recordings. Led by ASO Director of Choruses Norman Mackenzie, the Chorus is known for its precision and expressive singing quality. 

Their recordings with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra have won multiple GRAMMY® Awards, including Best Choral Performance, Best Classical Recording and Best Opera Recording. Those include Vaughan Williams’s A Sea Symphony and the Berlioz Requiem. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus performs large choral-symphonic works with the full Orchestra under the batons of Music Director Robert Spano and Principal Guest Conductor Donald Runnicles. In addition, the Chorus has been involved in the creation and shaping of numerous world-premiere commissioned choral works. 

The Chorus made its debut at New York’s Carnegie Hall in 1976 in a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, with the ASO led by Robert Shaw. In addition, the Chorus performed in Washington, D.C., for President-elect Jimmy Carter’s Inaugural Concert in 1977. The Chorus has traveled to Germany three times to be a special guest of the Berlin Philharmonic, in December 2003 for performances of Britten’s War Requiem, in May 2008 for the Berlioz Requiem performances – all with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Guest Conductor Donald Runnicles.
