Ushers

Thank you for your interest in the Volunteer Usher Program for the Alliance Theatre!

As a volunteer usher you will enjoy the privileges of being a part of our exciting theatrical family and making new friends. An Alliance Usher is an ambassador for the theatre and a host/hostess to our patrons for the performance. We strive to provide legendary service to our patrons. An Alliance Usher has a welcoming smile, a desire to serve, and an informed mind.

To become an Alliance Usher you will need to register and attend a New Usher Orientation Class. Each class lasts approximately 2 hours and covers all policies and procedures for Alliance Ushers. The class includes a tour of the Theatre and the Arts Center facilities. The class is held inside the Alliance Theatre. Parking will be available for $8 IN CASH ONLY at 1275 Peachtree Street, the Boys and Girls Club building located directly across Peachtree from the Arts Center.   You simply have to pay the attendant on your way in.  If there is not an attendant on duty, please pull down to the lower lot, punch a ticket from the machine. We will provide a parking discount voucher for you when you check in at Orientation.  Then when you leave, put in the ticket you punched, followed by the voucher, then your $8 in cash.

You can register to become an usher using the form below. If you would like more information about the usher program, please call our Usher Hotline at 404.733.4761, or email the Front of House Manager at marjon.wolfe@woodruffcenter.org.

Alliance Rendering 1

The Alliance Theatre has released final design renderings of its theater transformation, which is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2017. This is the first major building reinvention for the theater since its construction in 1968 as part of the Woodruff Arts Center campus. The Alliance Theatre will perform its 2017/18 season in 12 different locations in the metro Atlanta area, bringing live theater out into the community it serves. The Alliance plans to return to its new theater space for its 50th anniversary season in the fall of 2018.
