Zuri Adele

Kicking off her transition into the working world, this is Zuri Adele’s first experience as a professional understudy at Alliance Theatre. She previously served as the collegiate understudy for the role of Veronica in God of Carnage, during her senior year at Spelman College (B.A. in Drama, 2012). Most recently, Zuri starred in Gabrielle Fulton’s MILF at the Atlanta Fringe Festival. Her undergraduate studies allowed her to spend a year performing and training at BADA in London (where she starred in Antigone and Jane Eyre), and take the lead in The Bluest Eye, directed by Jasmine Guy. It has now been a year since Zuri returned from South Africa, where she taught acting workshops at the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. Zuri resides in Atlanta, where she continues to pursue her career as an actress, and is grateful for another opportunity to understudy at the Alliance!
