Arlen Konopaki

Arlen is a New York City-based writer and filmmaker. Originally from Canada, his films have screened at festivals around the world, including the Stanley Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival. Arlen’s work has been featured on IFC.com, Splitsider, the Huffington Post, My Damn Channel, Hot97.com, GQ.com and Buzzfeed, and he has written digital content for Condé Nast Entertainment. He is a Canadian Comedy Award recipient for his short film work and has been nominated three additional times for his live performances and short films. Arlen works as a video producer and director for the men’s magazine GQ. As a cinematographer, Arlen has recently shot content for Red Bull and Canon, and worked as a second camera operator on the A&E television show American Takedown. Films that Arlen has shot have screened at the Woodstock Film Festival, the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival, the Art of Brooklyn Festival and many more. A graduate of the B.F.A. acting program at the University of Alberta, Arlen is working on his thesis in pursuit of his M.F.A. in film directing and cinematography at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
