Al Hamacher

As an actor, he has performed in 69 Alliance Theatre productions. His most memorable experience as an actor was playing the role of Miss Daisy’s son, Boolie in Driving Miss Daisy for 630 performances in the Alliance Studio Theatre, and the touring production which visited Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia and Shanghai, China. He created, and for 19 years, administered the Alliance Professional Actor Intern Program which developed many actors and arts administrators for the community of Atlanta theaters. Mr. Hamacher was awarded an Acting Fellowship from Wayne State University in Detroit while earning his Master of Fine Arts in Acting. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech/Theater from Southeast Missouri State University. He has been a member of the Screen Actors Guild, the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists, and the stage actors union, Actor’s Equity Association and has appeared in films, television and radio commercials, including, most recently, a featured role, in the independent film, The Best of Enemies starring Taraji P. Henson & Sam Rockwell.
