The Alliance Theatre provides world-class theater experiences through amazing Family Series productions, Acting Classes and Workshops designed for families, our groundbreaking Bernhardt Theatre for the Very Young productions, and much more.

Bernhardt Theatre for the Very Young

Introduce your 0-5 year olds to arts and culture with fun and inspiring professional performances designed especially for them. These inventive art experiences nurture creative thinking and focus while overcoming age, developmental barriers, and language.

Theatre for Young Audiences programming brings high-quality, engaging work to life, producing captivating stories designed for the entire family to enjoy. The Underground Rep

Inspired by the multi-year construction project and excavation beneath the Woodruff Arts Center’s Memorial Arts Building, Alliance will open with three youth and family productions performed in repertory – all set underground! The Underground Rep will feature the delightful family musicals Into The Burrow: A Peter Rabbit™ Tale; Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: The Rock Experience; and the world-premiere, The Great Ant Sleepover.

PNC PlaySpace

The PNC PlaySpace is an experiential learning space where children can explore, move, and make believe. Open six days a week, the PNC PlaySpace invites children from birth to five years old to enjoy free play, engage in interactive performances, and embrace the chance to move and imagine. This resource is provided at no cost to families, offering a consistent, accessible environment that sparks creativity and supports early childhood development through joyful, unstructured activity.

Babies: Off Book!

Every Tuesday // 11am & 12pm

Babies: Off-Book! is for 0-24 month olds and their grown-ups. Shake up your weekly routine with this sensory story time for infants and toddlers. Families will bring their favorite stories to life through rhyme, song, and tactile props. Alliance Theatre teaching artists will guide you through a multi-sensory experience engaging the voice, body, and imagination. Stories will vary week to week.

Find your rhythm at Wellness Wednesdays! This weekly series offers a rotating selection of programs—including BabyWearing Dance and Scribbles—focused on mindfulness, movement, and the magic of early play. Come for the wellness, stay for the connection, and leave with a heart full of memories.

Baby Rave ATL

Select Weekends

Baby Rave ATL is a sensory dance party designed for little ones 0-18 months and their caregivers! Led by a composer/sound artist and a dancer/choreographer, this research-driven experience nurtures early development through movement, music, and playful connection. Grown-ups will sing, sway, and explore alongside their little ones in a joy-filled space.
