Professional Presence

Overview

POWERFUL ACTORS KNOW HOW TO BE SEEN, HEARD, AND UNDERSTOOD.

What story do you tell when you walk into the boardroom, staff meeting, or networking event? Interesting actors create compelling characters by making the right choices to communicate their truth and their objectives.

    A CUSTOMIZED EXPERIENCE

Partner with Alliance@work to design an experiential learning framework that allows participants to explore, practice and refine their knowledge and skills. Let’s create an experience together that enables your team to apply what they’ve learned to achieve job-specific goals and objectives.

3_0.pngSTAYING PRESENT AND CONNECTED WITH YOUR CLIENTS

In this learning experience, your team will learn how to keep their focus where it needs to be – on their client’s needs. They will get comfortable with discomfort, know how to genuinely connect with other people, and respond (vs. react) to other people.

Outcomes: Your team will learn how to…

    • Listen to clients or customers more actively and intently
    • Put clients or customers at ease and make them feel heard
    • Use The Second Circle Framework:
      • Paying close attention to what is going on
      • Staying grounded and focused even when stressed
      • Balancing self-awareness and awareness of others

    3_0.pngCOMMAND THE ROOM

In this learning experience, your team will learn how to show up with presence (the ability to express one’s true self -- even under stress) to guide, challenge and positively influence other members of the group.

Outcomes: Your team will learn how to…

    • Prepare for the expected and unexpected
    • Show up with vocal and physical confidence
    • Perform under pressure (respond vs. react)

    3_0.pngBECOMING FEEDBACK READY*

In this learning experience, your team will develop their leadership skillset to build community, grow capacity, and motivate collaboration by giving effective feedback.

Outcomes: Your team will learn how to…

    • Distinguish between personal taste and professional opinion (recognizing and disrupting assumptions)
    • Recognize when the time is right (or not) to engage in a feedback conversation (using a feedback matrix: collaborative, investigative, informative, and corrective types of feedback)
    • Adapt their approach to meet the receiver’s needs (considering the other person’s personality)

*Content can be adapted for peer-to-peer or direct report feedback.

    3_0.pngWORKING VIRTUALLY AND MINDFULLY

In this learning experience, your team will learn how to masterfully contribute to collective work with their colleagues and clients no matter where they are located.

Outcomes: Your team will learn how to…

    • Maintain productivity while working remotely
    • Come across more engaging in virtual meetings

Your investment in Alliance@work goes directly back into the community, with all proceeds going to support advancing literacy in Georgia classrooms.
