April 3 to May 5, 2013 | On the Alliance Stage
Part of the Alliance Series

Run time: approximately 2:30, including one 15-minute intermission

Why do you want to see Zorro this spring?

All of the legendary swashbuckling action, dashing romance, amazing Gipsy Kings music, and stunning flamenco artistry will all be happening right in front of you on one of the most spectacular sets the Alliance has ever built. And you'll laugh all the way through it thanks to the sly wit of the "Masked Fox."

Swashbuckling action. Zorro doesn't go anywhere without his mask, yes, but also his sword. And don't think he's afraid to use it. You'll see intense, fast-paced swordfighting across the stage, all coached by one of the best fight choreographers in the world, Terry King

"The fight scenes directed by Terry King could not be better." —RJH for Publishers Feature Service

The music of the Gipsy Kings. The sultry sounds of Gipsy Kings hits like "Bamboléo," with their lush blend of Spanish guitar and percussion, plus several new songs written just for Zorro, will have you swooning, dancing, and humming for days. And they'll all be performed live by a cast of actors and musicians full of the soul and passion necessary to make this music come alive.

"...the music and the visuals never fail. The score is a winning blend of classic Gipsy Kings and bawdy drinking songs..." —Wendell Brock for AJC

Flamenco artistry. The flamenco culture is full of history and tradition as a style of music and dance. This cast and creative team features artists that are world renowned for their flamenco abilities and their work will electrify. Zorro's choreography is by the acclaimed Rafael Amargo and the cast is consulting with the amazing flamenco performer Saulo Garrido in order to capture the true essence of flamenco in Zorro.

"...wonderful choreography by Rafael Amargo...["Bamboleo" is an] undeniable showstopper." —Jim Farmer for

You won't have more fun in a theatre in Atlanta anywhere this season.

Audience Feedback

We've officially hit summer here in Atlanta, and while temperatures are rising outside, we're staging the hottest dance party inside: The Dancing Granny. But with all there is to do this season, why should you grab the kids and come see the show?

A little known fact about the Alliance?
"We are the largest producing theatre in Georgia and if you break out our education department and its shows, that would be the second."

What is your hope for the future?
"For myself, I want to be happy. Motivation to succeed. For humanity, I wish for there to be more understanding, without disregard or hate."
