"Riveting. Director Susan V. Booth and her actors and designers deliver a knockout production...eloquent and essential..." —Wendell Brock for the AJC

"I have nothing but praise for every aspect of this production." —Manning Harris for Atlanta INtown

Winner of the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Tony Award nominee for Best Play, the most-produced play in America in the 2015/16 season, and soon to be an HBO movie. Find out why.

Disgraced tells the story of Amir Kapoor, a successful lawyer who is rapidly moving up the corporate ladder while distancing himself from his Muslim roots. When Amir and his wife Emily host a dinner party, friendly conversation quickly explodes into something far deeper and more dangerous. A turbulent thrill ride, Disgraced examines an American identity far more complicated than any melting pot.

Alliance Rendering 1

The Alliance Theatre has released final design renderings of its theater transformation, which is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2017. This is the first major building reinvention for the theater since its construction in 1968 as part of the Woodruff Arts Center campus. The Alliance Theatre will perform its 2017/18 season in 12 different locations in the metro Atlanta area, bringing live theater out into the community it serves. The Alliance plans to return to its new theater space for its 50th anniversary season in the fall of 2018.
