Steven Jamail

A proud Texas native and Rice University alum, Jamail’s original music and arrangements have been performed on Broadway, at New York City Center, at the Public Theater, the White House,  Theater Under the Stars and in a sold-out solo debut at New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. TV work includes original music and lyrics for Rachael Ray’s 40th birthday special, an arrangement for Howard Stern’s 60th birthday show, music direction for episodes of “The Martha Stewart Show” and “The Apprentice,” arrangements for “The Rosie Show,” the 2014 Winter Olympics and NBC’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center,” which he also conducted. Jamail has soloed onstage with the U.S. Army Band and jazz legend Chick Corea, and has conducted tribute concerts on Broadway for Chita Rivera, Cyndi Lauper, Queen Latifah and Ian McKellan. His arrangement of “Fever” (with Rosie O’Donnell and Bobby Pearce) was heard on the final “Oprah” show. He music-directs for Rosie O’Donnell, Tony nominees Andy Karl and Orfeh, Olympic medalist Jeremy Abbott, and such Broadway/West End vets as Katie Rose Clarke, Rachelle Rak, Teal Wicks, Danielle Hope and more. Jamail is music supervisor for Rosie’s  Theater Kids and has received the Envision Award for arts education. Thanks to BeBe and Charles for this incredible ride, and Orfeh for always opening the doors.
