Donald Lawrence

Donald is one of the most influential gurus in modern gospel music. Over the course of his career, Lawrence resurrected and led the Tri-City Singers, noted as one of the best choirs in the world, and has found much individual success as a solo artist. Lawrence trained in musical theatre at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and started out as the musical director for Stephanie Mills. He has since worked with many of music’s top names including the Clark Sisters, Mary J. Blige, En Vogue, Kirk Franklin, Faith Evans and Lalah Hathaway, amongst others. Lawrence is a Grammy-winning producer and has won more than 20 Stellar awards and a Dove Award. He has written six Billboard No. 1 hits and has had 12 songs chart in the Top 10. Lawrence has also been recognized by BMI multiple times for songwriter of the year/song of the year.
