As we continue to contemplate our mission and how it plays out in the community, we’re embarking on a new process of making theatre with, by, and for community members. We’d love to invite you to a short evening of scenes from a new play we’re developing, Road to a Dream: The Buford Highway Project.
Buford Highway has been and continues to be one of the most culturally rich and diverse areas in our city. For the past year, playwright Mark Valdez has been spending time exploring the history of Buford Highway and talking to the people who live and work along that corridor as he develops a new play for & about this community. This free event on October 2 is your chance to hear select scenes from the play (directed by Susan V. Booth) and share your feedback with us as we continue to develop this unique piece. Join us as we start this new adventure of community-created work and listen to some scenes from Buford Highway!
