Rush Tickets

Have you ever been out to dinner with friends and asked “what do you wanna do tonight?”  Or realized too late there was a show you wanted to check out, but didn’t think you could get tickets last minute?  The Alliance Theatre offers two great options for on-the-go ticketing!

Option 1: Purchase rush tickets in person.

Rush tickets can be purchased at the box office the day of any given performance.  They are $20 each, can be purchased after 5pm for evening shows (12pm for matinees), and are subject to current availability.  We recommend that you call the box office for information or to check availability for a particular performance at 404.733.5000.

Option 2: Text4Tix - Great Theatre.  Great Prices.  All Year Long . . . only a few thumb clicks away!

The Alliance Theatre’s innovative new Text4Tix program is the perfect solution for the mobile theatre lover!  Now you can easily purchase $20 rush tickets for a performance that day (all day) via text message!

How It Works:

  1. Register with an account and we’ll securely link your credit card information and your cell phone number to a special personalized passcode.
  2. Text the word “Tickets” to ATLTIX (285849) to get details about the events available for purchase each day.  Rush tickets are subject to availability.
  3. Confirm your purchase with your passcode.
  4. The tickets will be waiting for you at the box office!

Text 4 Tix (created in partnership with WAPOneLine) is part of an innovative new program at the Alliance Theatre, Active Audience.  In addition to offering tickets through text messaging, this program also provides periodic opportunities for audiences to experience real time dramaturgy ala ‘Pop Up Video’ at select performances with supplemental information sent through a series of text messages while patrons are at the theatre.  This project is a part of the larger Future Audiences objective of the New Generations Program.  The Alliance Theatre is a participant in the New Generations Program, funded by Doris Duke Charitable Foundation/The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and administered by Theatre Communications Group, the national organization for the American theatre.
