Alliance Theatre Advocates

The Alliance Theatre Advocates were formed in 1968 to provide volunteer support for the Alliance Theatre, a non-profit professional regional theatre and theatre school located in the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta, GA.

The goals of the Advocates are to increase enjoyment and appreciation of drama through education and to broaden the relationship of the theatre with the community.

The Advocates participate in a broad range of support activities for the theatre as well and fundraising endeavors. The Advocates hold monthly general meetings with speakers from the Alliance as well as the Atlanta theatre community.

Dues are $25. To join or for more information e-mail and include your name, address, telephone number, and email.

We've officially hit summer here in Atlanta, and while temperatures are rising outside, we're staging the hottest dance party inside: The Dancing Granny. But with all there is to do this season, why should you grab the kids and come see the show?

A little known fact about the Alliance?
"We are the largest producing theatre in Georgia and if you break out our education department and its shows, that would be the second."

What is your hope for the future?
"For myself, I want to be happy. Motivation to succeed. For humanity, I wish for there to be more understanding, without disregard or hate."
