Antwan Bethea

Antwan graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., with a B.A. in Elementary Education. He cheered on ECU’s varsity co-ed squad for four years, becoming senior captain his fi nal year. Antwan also has been an instructor for Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) for seven years. He’s been awarded North Carolina’s Veteran of the Year Plaque for the past four years. In addition to collegiate cheerleading, Antwan cheered professionally for Carolina’s NBA team, the Charlotte Bobcats. Much love and thanks to everyone who believed in me!

Courtney Corbeille

Courtney is making her Alliance debut! Courtney has been dancing and cheering since she could walk. She trained at Gayle Corkery School of Ballet in Ft. Worth, Texas, for 12 years and attended intensives with Vail International Ballet, Atlanta Ballet and The Radio City Rockettes. Courtney cheered competitively under the leadership of Brett Hansen and Brad Vaughan at Spirit of Texas, capturing seven National Cheerleading Association national championships in seven years. She competed in the first-ever Cheerleading World Championship, and her team won the gold medal in 2005. Most recently, Courtney cheered on the large coed game day squad and the nationals competition squad at the University of Oklahoma and graduated with honors with a journalism degree in 2010. She thanks God for this opportunity of a lifetime and is grateful for the unconditional support of Mom, Dad, Chandler, Chris, Mimi, her extended family, friends, teachers and coaches. A Wichita, Kansas, native, Shawn received her B.A. in life science/pre-med with a minor in dance at Kansas State University. During her college career, she served as captain for both the all-girl and co-ed cheerleading squads and participated in several UCA and NCA national competitions. After graduation, she moved to New York City to continue her dance training at The Ailey School. While at Ailey, she performed an excerpt from Alvin Ailey’s Revelations in the 2008 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Other credits include

Usually performing on the cheerleading scene, Brooklyn is taking the stage for the very first time! After years of training as a gymnast, she took some time off. Being out of the game and needing something to fulfill her need to compete, she discovered competitive cheerleading. From there, she fell in love and dedicated most of her time to Kentucky Elite All-Stars out of Lexington, Kentucky. She cheered on the Large Coed team in which she won numerous national titles. Brooklyn was also featured in many magazines, was chosen as an All-American Cheerleader, modeled for Nfinity shoe ads and published an article in Cheerleading: “From Tryouts to Championships.” She went on to cheer for the University of Louisville and now spends her time traveling around the country and internationally doing skills camps and choreography.

Originally from Washington State and onstage since age eight with community theatres, Janet graduated from the University of Southern California in 2010 with a major in cinematic arts and a double minor in musical theater and philosophy. Her background includes over 10 years training as a classical coloratura soprano as well as training with Gary Austin, founder of the LA improv-comedy troupe, The Groundlings. In Los Angeles, she garnered attention for her performances as Anita in
West Side Story, Rusty in
Footloose and Kesa in

Melody Mills

Melody will light up the Alliance Theatre as ensemble in
Bring It On: The Musical. Although this is her first roll in musical theatre, she is not new to performing. As a 5-year veteran, Melody has danced and choreographed for teams such as the NJ Nets (NBA), Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA), Oakland Raiders (NFL) and the Cleveland Gladiators (AFL). Beyond sports, she has worked with musical artist such as Jay-Z, Rihanna, Kayne West, Erika David and Shakira. Traveling all over the world, her dancing and choreography has been featured in Iraq, Kuwait, China, Korea and the Philippines. At the age of 12, she became one of the youngest artists to receive the Best Choreography award at a national level. Having 10 years of gymnastics, eight years of cheer training and a natural love and passion for art, Melody has begun to touch the lives of the young art world. He also competed and won a gold medal with the inaugural Team USA Coed at the International Cheer Union’s World Championships in 2009. Michael Naone-Carter

Hawaiian triple threat; Michael Naone-Carter was born the oldest of five on Jan. 17, 1990 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Naone-Carter isn’t your average talent deriving from humble beginnings. Although his beginning was humble indeed, this talented prodigy only did what he enjoyed and absolutely had fun. Dancing since the age of five with family is the unlikely foundation of Naone-Carter’s successful journey in the world of entertainment. He is a self-taught gymnast, tumbling and stunts instructor and National Championship recipient with Hofstra University Cheerleading Team. Naone-Carter discovered a strong love for the performing arts when he reached high school. Winning roles for several productions like
The Music Man,
Annie,
Phantom of the Opera,
Les Miserables and
South Pacific just fed his hunger and enlarged his appetite for success. Naone-Carter has been performing Polynesian dance across the East Coast, Las Vegas and Hawaii since 2006, and he continues to wow the audiences with his amazing singing and dancing abilities.
David Ranck

David is a member of Actor’s Equity as well as an ensemble member in
Bring It On: The Musical here at the Alliance Theatre. Originally from Strasburg Penn., graduating from Lampeter-Strasburg High School in 2002. After high school, he started his college career at Colorado State University where he became a SAG member and traveled between there and California doing small screen work off and on. During his time there, he was a professional cheerleader for the Denver Nuggets basketball team. He then transferred to Morehead State University in Kentucky and finished his University Studies degree, while being a cheerleader for the school and an instructor for the Universal Cheerleaders Association. On stage experience includes

Originally from Appleton, Wisconsin, now residing in Atlanta, Georgia, Roe holds years of cheerleading experience. One of her favorite things about the South is the warm, humid weather, which allows her to participate in the outdoor activities she loves. Some of her favorite things to do are run, dance, tumble and paint. Roe competed with the national champion programs at the University of Kentucky and Morehead State University, winning a UCA collegiate national championship in 2006. In addition to cheering, Roe has served as a camp instructor at both the high school and college level and has taught numerous cheerleading camps nationally as well as around the world. Roe graduated from Morehead State University with a B.A. in Marketing in 2009.

Alex has won a Tony and a Grammy as the music supervisor, coorchestrator and cast album producer of
In the Heights (Broadway, National Tour). In 2005, he served as the Music Director of
Wicked on Broadway, for which he also contributed Music Arrangements. For
9 To 5 (Broadway, National Tour), Alex wrote dance arrangements and co-orchestrations (Drama Desk nomination), and produced on the cast album (Grammy nomination). Other credits as music director, arranger and orchestrator:

Jeff is a New York-based artist, designer and technical advisor. He is a co-founding member of the performance group Accinosco with Cynthia Hopkins and Jim Findlay and co-designed their critically acclaimed
Accidental Trilogy (2007 Bessie Award). Some other theater designs include
