Middle School Improv (6-8)
Middle School Improv, grades 6-8, partners an Alliance Theatre teaching artist with students applying improvisational techniques to develop language arts skills through writing and ensemble work. In addition to classroom sessions, the classroom teacher and Alliance Theatre teaching artist participate in the Alliance Theatre Institute’s collaborative model of professional development by attending the summer seminar and focus play workshop. Students have an opportunity to provide material for the development of the Alliance Children's Theatre middle school play and attend the production.
