General Auditions

Actors interested in being considered for a general audition should submit their headshots and resumes to:  Casting, Alliance Theatre, 1280 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA  30309.  When called for a general, actors are asked to prepare two contrasting monologues no more than three minutes combined.  Singers should also prepare 16 bars to sing a capella.

The Alliance Theatre also participates in the Atlanta Coalition of Performing Arts Unified Auditions held each spring in Atlanta.  For information go to http://www.atlantaperforms.com.

Show Specific Auditions

The Alliance Theatre generally holds two invited calls for each of its Alliance Stage and Hertz Stage productions – the first in Atlanta for local Atlanta actors and the second in New York (NY calls are based primarily on agent submissions through adjunct NY Casting Directors).  Alliance Children’s Theatre productions are cast solely with local adult actors.

Any open calls (general or show specific, for children or adults) will be posted on ATML (Atlanta Theatre Mailing List), the Coalition website, and on the Alliance audition information line at 404.733.4622.

Young people and adults who are interested in acting classes can explore more offerings by the Alliance Education Department online and at 404.733.4700.  Many of these classes offer audition experience and often conclude with a performance.  For up-to-the-minute audition information, please call the Alliance audition information line at 404.733.4622.
